Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As spring approaches in the north of France, we hope each of you is staying healthy and safe. The French government is expected to provide information at the beginning of May concerning the situation of international students entering France for short-term university summer programs. At this time, we will evaluate all of the information at hand and determine if any changes are necessary for the LILLE ESP.

 

 

 

 

Currently the 2021 ESP remains an in-person and online program.  After 20 years of successful short-term LILLE programs, we are confident in our ability to provide an enriching experience, whether on campus or online.  Last summer, we launched several online ESP mini-courses; this summer, we will build on that success, providing several full online courses for students who cannot travel to Lille. Over 98% of the students who participated last summer found the courses valuable. Kristine from the Philippines wrote:

One of the University’s ‘grande-écoles’ of engineering, JUNIA, has recently unveiled plans to restore the historic Palais Rameau located just steps from our city-center campus.  This registered historic building, originally built for horticultural displays, will be home to a new teaching and research facility, appropriately dedicated to current and future trends in urban agriculture and nutrition, and will include public space, shared with the wider community.
